Description

Paint Guard 10,000 C is cement based water proof thin applied fine plaster which is ideal for use on concrete / plastered walls and ceilings. It fills fine pores of plaster and concrete and provides a smooth and dry surface, essential for painting. Paint Guard 10,000 C is an ideal material to be used in combination with Ressi Plasto Rend 120, Insulaster or any other recommended plaster by Ressichem Prior to finishing it for paint. Paint Guard 10,000 C is suitable for many mineral based backgrounds and plasters as well prior to the application of Paint and Wallpaper

SURFACE PREPARATION
Remove all loose particles, dust, oil, grease and any other material which may result in poor adhesion from the substrate. The surface required for the application of Paint Guard 10,000C is usually a concrete levelled surface or a levelled plastered surface.

PRODUCT PREPARATION             
It is important that water is premeasured in accordance with the amount of material used. Paint Guard 10,000C should be added over the water to avoid the settlement of the material at the bottom of the mixing container. The mixing container should be uncontaminated, non-corrosive and clean. Only potable water should be used for mixing.

APPLICATION
Paint Guard 10,000C is applied onto the prepared surface using a painters knife steel trowel or appropriate tools used to achieve the desired thickness and finish. It is recommended to build up the thickness of Paint Guard 10,000 C layer by layer. The total thickness of one coat should be limited to no more than 2mm. Multiple Coats can be applied.

CURING
No curing required in general. However if temperature during application exceeds 40 “C, curing for 48 hours is recommended

SHELF LIFE
Expiration of Paint Guard 10,000C is at 6 months after production date under dry and sheltered conditions.

Paint Guard 10,000C is regarded as non-hazardous for transportation. Do not reuse bags or containers and dispose them off as per local rules and regulations. Gloves and suitable masks can be worn during application. Please refer to the MSDS of the product for further health and safety information.
